We’re told Gate Rape saves lives – pure conjecture, since it’s all hypothetical. After all, not one “terrorist” has been caught (much less stopped) as a result of the terroristic tactics of the Blue Shirted Goons. Which is a pretty piss poor record, given they treat everyone as a presumptive terrorist.
You’d think by now they’d have caught at least one actual terrorist.
Ah well. Good enough for government work – right?
But lives have been lost as a result of the terroristic tactics of the Blue Shirted Goons. Not conjecture, either. Real people – thousands of them – dead because of the TSA.
Dead – because they chose to drive rather than fly. Anything – rather than Submission Training and Gate Rape. Even if it means an 18 hour trip vs. a three hour flight.
According to data compiled by Cornell University researchers, the ugsomeness of dealing with the TSA has pushed a goodly number of former air travelers into their cars – and back onto the roads. This, in turn has led to a measurable increase in monthly traffic fatalities – about 242 per month that would otherwise not have occurred. Some quick addition is in order. Let’s be easy on our calculators – and generous to the Blue Goons – and assume the figure is off by more than half. Let’s say it’s only 100 additional deaths per month attributable to TSA Avoidance Syndrome. That’s 1,200 deaths annually. Times four equals 4,800. In less than four years, then, TSA has managed to get more Americans killed than Osama bin Laden.
Only he’s finished – and the TSA is just getting started.
What will happen when the Blue Goons decide that cavity searches are now necessary for “security” reasons? Or perhaps stun bracelets – you know, like you use to deal with an unruly dog. How about that?Farcical? Hyperbolic? Do a mental exercise and imagine it’s 1995. Ask any ten people at random whether they would believe that within a decade or so, they’d gave to spread their legs, hold out their arms and submit to a government goon literally handling their privates – including the privates of little children and old people in wheelchairs. Something not even the Nazis did to the Jews. Right here in the good ol’ USA – land of the (formerly) free and home of the (erstwhile) brave. And bear in mind that the stun bracelets idea was actually floated. So we know they are thinking along such lines. “Freeze training” has already been tried, too.
Here is Noam Chomsky’s statement on Israel’s latest aggression in Gaza:
“The incursion and bombardment of Gaza is not about destroying Hamas. It is not about stopping rocket fire into Israel, it is not about achieving peace.
The Israeli decision to rain death and destruction on Gaza, to use lethal weapons of the modern battlefield on a largely defenseless civilian population, is the final phase in a decades-long campaign to ethnically-cleanse Palestinians.
Israel uses sophisticated attack jets and naval vessels to bomb densely-crowded refugee camps, schools, apartment blocks, mosques, and slums to attack a population that has no air force, no air defense, no navy, no heavy weapons, no artillery units, no mechanized armor, no command in control, no army… and calls it a war. It is not a war, it is murder.
When Israelis in the occupied territories now claim that they have to defend themselves, they are defending themselves in the sense that any military occupier has to defend itself against the population they are crushing. You can’t defend yourself when you’re militarily occupying someone else’s land. That’s not defense. Call it what you like, it’s not defense.”
Chomsky recently visited Gaza, writing about ‘the world’s biggest open-air prison’ at length upon return.
Contrary to how it is being portrayed, aggression does accurately describe what Israel is doing. Israel initiated this conflict. Israel had several opportunities to pacify the situation and re-establish a cease-fire, and chose instead to escalate. Civilian and government infrastructure is being targeted. As of the time of this writing, the number killed in Gaza has surpassed 80, 22 of them children, 9 of them elderly; 709 have been wounded, 230 of them children, 50 elderly. Three Israelis have been killed by Hamas rocket-fire.
This is hilarious.
Our Managing Editor, Jessica Liebman, was driving from Manhattan to Brooklyn yesterday evening when she saw something that will make anyone who has ever been frustrated by government bureaucrats tear their hair out.
Somewhere in lower Manhattan, where the power has been out for three days, restaurants and stores are closed, perishable food is going bad, and there’s little to eat, Jess came upon the following:
While in a traffic standstill on a pitch black corner in Chinatown, we saw an NYC food inspector bust down the door of a Chinese restaurant that was serving food to dozens of people even though they had no power and no running water. It was pitch black, and all these people were eating from a huge buffet…
I knew it was a food inspector because the guy was wearing a jacket that said “Department of Health” in big white letters on the back of it. He had a big flashlight and a headlamp. When he went into the restaurant with his two sources of light, you could see that there were little candles everywhere and people huddled at tables.
The restaurant was a tiny hole in the wall spot, with a yellow awning that said they served dumplings for $4. It had a “C” in the last inspection — the NYC health inspection grade was taped to the door.
What happened next? From what I could tell, he was shining his flashlight all around (which is how I saw that there was a buffet of food) and right before we pulled away I saw him inspect a huge pot of soup that was near the door.
From the moment he walked in, it was clear that he wasn’t letting anyone leave the restaurant after that.
A business without power going the extra mile to keep its doors open and help the community in a time of need.
Got to put a stop to that immediately!
This isn’t rare at all. The government does this during almost every crisis (and even just to people handing out food to the homeless in good times). Because starving is preferable to voluntarily taking food which might not pass inspection.
Are these Republican warmongers really that fucking stupid?
Using force, bombing specific targets, against another country is the very definition of an act of war.
House Intelligence Committee chair U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) seems to be living in his own weird little world of international relations. Rogers told CNN Tuesday night that bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities would be “short of war” and that he doubts that the Iranian government wouldn’t see targeted strikes again its nuclear facilities as “an act of war.”
